16 years after the Wenchuan earthquake, what is still in people’s hearts? When faced with a serious catastrophe, do people choose to remember or forget?

Echoes of Remembrance is a research-based project on the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, built from interviews with 16 survivors and their lived memories. Transforming their words into a 3D essay of installation, video, and projection mapping, the work unfolds across four parts—Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and the present—echoing the crucial “Golden 72 Hours” of rescue. By weaving together voices of resilience, loss, and reflection through symbolic objects and immersive visuals, the project preserves collective memory while presenting complex research in an emotionally resonant form.
